Varun Joel grew up in the beautiful city of Lucknow. His idyllic childhood there has made a profound impression on his expression of creativity. He was always curious about his uncle's Pentax film camera but didn't dare touch it. Many years later, his life lead to a career in photography. He's been shooting for more than 12 years, starting from covering weddings in Mumbai, to expanding into Product and Commercial Photography. 

Varun is a self-taught photographer, studying the works of industry greats like Raghu Rai, Prabuddha Dasgupta, Sebastiao Salgado and Ansel Adams, to name a few. 

Varun's portfolio has a distinct look that he has achieved through innovative use of lighting techniques and attention to detail. His dexterity with his craft has led to meaningful collaborations with several brands in hospitality, jewellery, hotels, interiors and architecture. 

Varun is based in Noida, and is available for commission across the country and worldwide.
